Sometimes I worry that we're all turning into scrolling zombies waiting for the next hit.
Like late night tv with the remote and nothing to watch - click, click, click.
Questions I ask myself:
Are we oversaturated with information that we just scroll and scroll?
Do we get desensitized because we've seen it all and are looking for the next new thing?
Are we all so overstimulated that we're just scrolling and scrolling and scrolling?
How much time do we spend scrolling?
What stops me and gives me pause?
What stops me enough to click and read something?
What inspires me enough to like or comment?
It reminds me of an Edward R. Murrow quote,
“This instrument can teach, it can illuminate; yes, and it can even inspire. But it can do so only to the extent that humans are determined to use it to those ends. Otherwise it's nothing but wires and lights in a box….”
